Pathways to Profitable Dairy Farming
This Public-Private-Development Partnership (PPDP) aims to enhance the dairy sector in Kenya through increasing the capacity and competitiveness of smallholder farmers, most importantly, young people and women. The project will establish a Dairy Academy and Model Farm in Githunguri as a national centre of excellence, undertake training in modern, sustainable dairy production, and propel systemic improvements in animal health, milk quality, and access to finance. It combines industrial skill development with climate-resilient agriculture to raise farmer profitability and resilience, and a replicable model for inclusive growth in the dairy industry.
