New PPDP project in Morocco joins the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility

The Project Steering Committee of the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility (LKDF) approved an additional Public Private Development Partnership (PPDP) project as member of the Facility.

Project “H2O Maghreb” aims to improve waste water management practices in the Maghreb/MENA region in an inclusive and sustainable way using aquatronics curricula and virtual reality applications.

The project’s goals are to i) bring improved industrial and municipal water management practices to Morocco and the Maghreb/MENA region and ii) replicate the PPDP model used in the training delivery elsewhere in Morocco, namely the “Académie Engins Lourds et Véhicules Commerciaux” (AGEVEC) in Settat.

The Learning and Knowledge Development Facility is run by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It brings together companies, vocational training centers, development agencies and donors to facilitate knowledge sharing on innovative public-private development partnership approaches in industrial skills development.
