Fourteen Festo employees have successfully completed a Public Private Development Partnership training course in Germany.
Festo Academy hosted a training course, organized by the Learning and Knowledge Development Facility (LKDF) in partnership with Festo Didactic, a world-leading provider of equipment and solutions for technical education and one of the LKDF’s founding partners.
Aimed at Festo employees, the training introduced the Public Private Development Partnership (PPDP) modality to support the delivery of industry relevant training. Following the training, participants were able to describe the unique features of Public Private Development Partnerships and the benefits and challenges presented through the approach. Knowledge products developed through the LKDF’s experienced-based learning were also introduced and shared with participants, equipping them with hands on tools for developing effective PPDPs.
Elfi Klumpp, Head of Educational Services Americas & Asia, said, “We are very proud to be one of the founding members of the LKDF. This training session is a way to replicate the successful PPDP project we have in Uruguay where FESTO have partnered with UNIDO to establish the Center of Agro-Industrial Modular of Excellence (CAIME). The centre is improving technical skills on cutting-edge technologies and we are keen to build on this experience.”
