World Bank/UNIDO: Female Enrollment in Male-Dominated Vocational Training Courses

This policy brief is based on a study by the World Bank’s Gender Innovation Lab (GIL), in collaboration with UNIDO and the LKDF, about preferences and prospects for female enrollment in male-dominated vocational training courses.

GIL researchers collected and analyzed survey responses from 172 female students at the host VTC of HDECoVA (Ethiopia), with the aim to examine the personal characteristics that drive young women to choose male or female dominated TVET courses.
